Love Spell

August 7, 2020: Some of the first teachings given to Luisa by Jesus in the Book of Heaven (cf. Luisa Piccarreta) include that He is "all that is beautiful and that deserves to be loved," and that He wants "creatures to disappear from [us] completely," both statements relating to the relationship of love He wants to have with every one of us. I imagined then comparing the love between God and us to that between a man and a woman, and this gave rise to a new song that I called Love Spell.

Most people in the world today would agree that a man should be faithful to his wife—and vice versa—and that their love must be reserved exclusively for one another. This made me ask myself: why would it be any different with God? Besides, don't we read in Genesis 2:24 that "a man will leave his father and his mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh"? The same applies to our relationship with Jesus, because we are meant to have a relationship with Him that is exclusive, and where we become one with Him.

Many people in the past have talked about this relationship of love between Jesus and the soul—each of us—and compared it to a couple that gets married, wherein Jesus represents the groom, and each person, the bride. This union with Jesus helps me understand what He means when He says that He wants "creatures to disappear from [us] completely," because He expects from us a love that is exclusive at all times, and only by being in a constant state of awareness where we show our love for Jesus in our interactions with everyone and everything, is that I can imagine this being possible.

This constant state of showing love for Jesus in each and every action, thought, event, person, and thing, is like a "love spell" we voluntarily let Jesus cast on us. Taking this idea one step further, if all we do each day becomes an act of love for Him, of course everything He created in the world, as well as what He allows to happen in our lives—good or bad—must be an act of love for us.

Love Spell begins by saying that "I just found out that there's just one Love," a line that describes the idea that our love for God should be exclusive. "I just found out that you're deeply in love" reflects the act of becoming fully aware that God loves us madly and in an exclusive manner, for all the things He created are nothing but a channel through which He constantly loves us.

But the chorus is what gets me most excited, for "if all there is in our world are words of [God's] Love," then I want to "return [His] words of Love [to Him]." This reflects the idea of living constantly in a state where every second in life becomes an opportunity to love Jesus. Similarly, if all the things God created, i.e., the universe, the stars, the sun, the trees, the oceans, the fruits, etc., speak of the love He constantly shows for us, then I want to "fill all the world with Love for You, sweet Lord."

Luisa Piccarreta) incluyen que Él es "el único que merece ser amado", y que Él quiere "que las criaturas [nos] desaparezcan del todo", ambas afirmaciones referentes a la relación de amor que Jesús desea tener con cada uno de nosotros. Esto me llevó a imaginarme que el amor entre Dios y cada persona podría compararse con aquel entre un hombre y una mujer, una idea que dio origen a una nueva canción que llamé Love Spell (Hechizo de Amor, en español).

La mayoría de las personas en el mundo de hoy estarían de acuerdo que el esposo debe serle fiel a su esposa —y viceversa—, y que el amor debe ser exclusivo del uno para el otro. Esto me hizo pensar si no sería lo mismo en el caso del amor hacia Dios. Además, ¿acaso no leemos en Génesis 2:24 que "dejará el hombre a su padre y a su madre, y se unirá a su mujer, y serán una sola carne"? Lo mismo aplica a nuestra relación con Jesús, ya que deberíamos tener una relación de amor con Él que es exclusiva y en la que nos volvemos uno con Él.

Muchos en el pasado han hablado acerca de esta relación de amor entre Jesús y el alma —cada uno de nosotros— y la han comparado con una pareja que se une en matrimonio, donde Jesús representa al marido y, cada uno de nosotros, a la novia. Esta unión con Jesús me permite entender lo que Él quiere decir cuando dice que Él quiere "que las criaturas [nos] desaparezcan del todo", ya que Él espera un amor exclusivo de parte de nosotros a cada instante, y solo permaneciendo en un constante estado de atención en el que demostramos nuestro amor por Jesús, a través de las interacciones con todas las personas y cosas que existen, es que me imagino que esto puede hacerse una realidad.

Este estado incesante en el que demostramos nuestro amor por Jesús en cada acción, pensamiento, evento, persona, y cosa, es como un "hechizo de amor" que dejamos voluntariamente que Jesús nos lance. Llevando esta idea un paso más allá, si todo lo que hacemos cada día se convierte en un acto de amor por Él, claro está, todo lo que Él creó en el mundo, así como lo que Él permite que suceda en nuestras vidas —bueno o malo— debe ser forzosamente un acto de amor por nosotros.

Love Spell comienza diciendo que "me acabo de enterar que existe solo un Amor", una línea que describe la idea que nuestro amor hacia Dios debe ser exclusivo. "Acabo de enterarme que estás profundamente enamorado" refleja el acto de estar totalmente conscientes que Dios nos ama hasta el extremo y de manera exclusiva, ya que todas las cosas creadas no son otra cosa que un medio a través del cual Él nos ama constantemente.

Pero el coro es la parte de más me emociona, puesto que "si todas las cosas en el mundo son palabras [que expresan] el Amor [de Dios]", en ese caso deseo "devolver[le] [sus] palabras de Amor". Lo anterior plasma la idea de vivir constantemente en aquel estado donde cada segundo en la vida se convierte en una oportunidad para amar a Jesús. De igual modo, si todas las cosas creadas por Dios, es decir, el universo, las estrellas, el sol, los árboles, los océanos, los frutos, etc., hablan del amor que Él constantemente nos da, entonces quisiera "llenar el mundo entero de Amor por Ti, Señor amado".
